Long road to China

This is not our destination, and this is certainly not the weather we expect, in Chengdu, in August. But the saying still applies. The House of Fortune will be boarded up and locked until the 22nd of the month. See you then.

I have spoken with the Great and Powerful Kimananda. (Yes, I communicate directly with the mighty one. You may touch my hand.)

I am certain that, soon after the jetlag has faded and she is settled in, she will put up another marvelous post, (with cool pictures.)

We want pictures!! How are you? Jet lagged? :/

Daphnewood sagde ...

Ms. Mood, it was quite a trip. I'll try to get some pics posted soon. For that matter, my month in Lisbon was also a trip of a lifetime, and I have loads of posts for that too.

DBA, thanks in retrospect!

Treespotter, what cow? Oh, that cow! :-) Actually, I didn't see too many cows. Some monkeys, though. Does that count?

Ms. Black Scorpio, thanks...your well wishes came in very nicely, and helped me have a great trip. And I do hope you're drinking the coffee, yes?

Vanessa, thanks!

Chloe, I did have a great time, but no fortune cookies...I save that for when I'm in the Japanese Tea Garden in San Francisco. No fortune cookies in restaurants in China either, now that I think of it.

Nabeel, I'm back! I didn't blog in China because the internet there is usually far too slow and buggy, and I don't have the patience for that kind of thing. I did open my blog account, and my blog once, and there were no problems that I could see. But I didn't try to post anything.

El G, thanks. I did - China seems to have become the destination of choice for us, at least until we've seen all of the many things we'd like to see there.

James, yep, that's me. Jetsetter. ;-) I would like to have fit in a trip to London in the middle of the two, but in the end I only had two days between the two.

Connie, thanks. :-) I'll be visiting you very soon.

Mr American, thanks! I'm looking forward to seeing what you've been up to.

Meow, thanks! I'll be posting pics as soon as I take the time to go through them (though I have downloaded them, which is a start).

Hank, thanks! Any chance of you going to China, to give us a dog's eye view?

Dew, the pics are on their way. I didn't make it to Tibet, though, I'm sad to say (in the end, the visa would not have been a problem, but it was beyond our budget).

Neets, welcome back!

Day, thanks! It was a fabulous trip.

Scholiast, I have thought about moving to China - as an English teacher, it would be easy to find work. But not yet...I just came back and went straight back to working while jetlagged.

Etchen, thanks! I'll be by to visit very soon.

Fourlegged, oh wise disciple, truer words of wisdom have never before been spoken. ;-)

Ms. Mood, nope, not jetlagged anymore. Just waiting for the weekend. :-)

Daphne, pictures are plentiful (I think we have around 200 or so)...it's just a question of going through them, and making them into something interesting. I'll get to it very soon.
