What kind of pirate am I?

Arrrrr. I have tried to resist, really I have. I believe that too many quizzes shows a lack of creativity on the part of the blogger. Yet at the same time, I have always wanted to be a pirate, but have never found my true pirate nature. Can you not help me? All it will take is one little vote. Your one little vote. Yarr.

Somebody loves you!

Tak for det, min smukke kæreste! Somebody loves you, too. Maybe even somebody you know....

ooh that was tough. I thought about the heart throb pirate because I seriously think you have the prettiest eyes I have ever seen. But then I thought about the woman pirate. I like the part about the "cut off ye genitals and wear them for a necklace". But in the end your intelligence won over the rest and I voted for Crafty Ship's Capt.

very cute quiz!

Yarrr! I voted you a scurvey sea dog, b/c quite honestly, isn't it great fun to say the words "scurvey sea dog"?

kimananda sagde ...

Hey, how cool is that...I'm a Crafty Ship's Captain! I can't say that I would have chosen that for myself; I was thinking scurvy sea dog, not because it's fun to say (although you are right, Etchen, it is), but because of the line, 'The scurvy sea dog has been a pirate for an extraordinary length of time - so long that they have forgotten what it's like to be yon ordinary individual.' Replace the word 'pirate' with the word 'teacher' and that pretty much sums up my life at the moment. Or woman pirate - Daphne, I also like that quote. But now that I examine more closely, the CS'sC is the best one.

And, Sangroncito, how about Pumpkin Pie Rat, in honor of the season? ;-)

Hey, why am I a heartthrob pirate? That's the one kind of pirate that does not appeal to me. Oh, well, I suppose I'll just have to live with my great beauty...;-)

kimananda sagde ...

Ahhh...that's better. Sometimes it takes a bit of resistance to make a girl realize exactly what kind of pirate she is.

I declare the voting officially over.

Root beer always counts! And thanks for the return visit!

Did you know September 29 is National Pirate Day in America? I know because one of my friends in college found out and made a big hullabulloo about celebrating it every year thereafter. I don't know what it is about pirates and piracy, but everyone loves it. It's like the ultimate fantasy.

You have fine taste in books and movies. I enjoyed the visit. As for what sort of pirate you are, it's hard to say. I'd guess one who cares more for the voyage than the treasure. And maybe one would sail into uncharted waters just to see what's there.

Hey, Leslie, I didn't know that there was a national pirate day, but it doesn't surprise me. Piracy has this image of freedom from authority and travel, and of course all the buried treasure. As for me, when I think of pirates I think Pirates of the Caribbean (the Disney ride more than the movie).

Hank - thanks for your visit. And I like your pirate description. Yeah, I would like to be like that. You're a very smart dog.

Jess - no problem, and thanks for visiting! And, yeah, being a ninja would be cool, too. Maybe a pirate ninja.

I hope you don't mind, but I linked you.

all pirates were nice people except for their uncleanliness and general lack of hygiene. So may be you could be Clean Pirate

(in my son's books they all have black teeth)

kimananda sagde ...

Hi Etchen - thanks, I love being linked! I'll be doing likewise as soon as I have an extra 5 minutes to play around with my template!

Hmmm, Chloe...maybe 'Hygienic Pirate'?

Oh, where does one cast the votes?

kimananda sagde ...

Sorry Ms. Kuschelblacki! I waited until the vote was for something cool, and then made it so you can't vote any more.

Chibithulhu is a Pirate of Dark Water, because he loves the taste of sesame monkeybird.

kimananda sagde ...

Chibithulhu, that's wonderfully efficient...just make a good ginger dipping sauce, and you can use it for the monkeybird and for the Danes! ;-)

Dang ;)
