Happy Saint Patrick's Day?

If it is actually Saint Patrick's Day today, then I wish you a good one. But is it today? Or was it Saturday? If it was Saturday, then I wish you belated holiday well wishes. May you have a nice drink and wear something green.

For me, on my Saint Patrick's Day (or belated Saint Patrick's Day, whichever), I will try to sleep, in hopes that when I wake up, I won't feel so punished for breaking one of the cardinal rules of pregnancy, namely that enormously pregnant women should not put together Ikea furniture. Which is a very unfair rule, as I need that bookshelf/changing table ready so that I can put baby clothes and pregnancy and baby books on it. How can I really, truly start nesting without it? But I realize now that some rules exist for a reason, namely to prevent total physical exhaustion. Not to mention the depression that accompanies the realization that assembling a bookshelf is now to be considered strenuous exercise. My plan was to take a photo of it, but that may have to wait until I have the strength to pick up my camera. Or for that matter, to put in the actual shelves.

I think it is today, not that I care.
Yes, I guess it's time you started taking it easy for a woman in "your condition", this sounds terrible.
Mind you, I'm pretty exhausted when I finish vacuuming my bedroom...

Yep, sadly, it is that time, to start using the 'pregnancy card' and not doing anything too strenuous. I've never thought of myself as a very active person, but now I'm realizing that I'm maybe more active than I give myself credit for. And it makes sense that things are more difficult with an extra 10 kilos attached right around one's belly.

And St. Paddy's is the 17th, yes, but wasn't there some moving around of it because of Easter week? I know that something like that went on, but I wasn't really following the story that closely. Maybe the day stayed the same, but the celebrations were to be held the 15th.

I don't what Saint-Pat's is about. All I know is I drink Guinness then. Let's wiki it.

Oh, dear -- USE THAT PREGGO CARD WHILE YOU CAN!!! I despised the whole "um, can you reach that for me? I'm pregnant and am therefore mildly disabled" thing, but the truth is, you can't do everything the way you used to. I assembled a dresser at 5 months, and felt enormous pride as I panted and looked at the completed project. I can't say it enough: Take naps, take naps, take naps. 10 days til my due date, and I take at least one per day. It's medicine, girl!

Kunstemæcker, I usually go for the Bailey's. It's far more interesting to drink to my question than to actually figure out the answer, at least in this case.

EK, I know I should, and I'm beginning to, but it's difficult to admit to being so much more limited than before. And I hear you on the naps. They're the best!
