Politics

No really, politics. It suddenly hit me today, that it's Super Tuesday, and I've let myself become distracted from the most exciting primary season that I can remember. Alas, it's not practical to stay awake until 5am when the California polls close*. But how exciting it will be to have some results waiting for me when I awake.

*Yes, the California polls. Because this is the only one that really counts. Which means nothing, except that I am clearly a Californian. Oh, and photo credit, http://www.theliberaloc.com/2008/02/03/breaking-field-poll-shows-huge-gains-by-obama-in-ca/.

I haven't made a big effort to decide between these two (for perhaps obvious reasons), though I believe a democrat would at least be less harmful in the oval office..

now, I may be prejudiced, but I'm just not sure America is ready for a woman or an African-American president. I'm sorry to say... So I think it's a shame they're running against eachother at this point in time.

Hopefully, America will prove me wrong :)

It's definitely been exciting.
Like Scholiast, I haven't really chosen a favourite between these two, not that it matters anyway. But I find McCain creepy, that's a start lol

Scholiast, I think that America could handle either a woman or an African-American for president. Firstly, because it's a case of when it happens people will get used to it, and secondly, because we've gotten closer to it over time. It seemed a much bigger deal when Geraldine Ferraro was running for vice-president, or when Jessie Jackson was running for president, than it does today, which shows me that the path has been cleared at least a bit. And I'm on my way to deciding, but I'm in no hurry (especially as my state has just voted without me!)

Ms. Mood, it is an exciting race. And I must say, I haven't paid much attention to the Republicans, but aren't they all creepy?

lol Between a war hero, a mormon and a priest...it's hard to pick but McCain is the creepiest to me.

I know what you mean...and it looks like the war hero is set to be the official candidate for creepiness. ;-)

God, they would make a delightful couple. I mean Barack and Hillary. I wonder if Obama would become Methodist!

I have wondered if they'd end up as a couple, actually. Not romantically, but politically, as pres and vice pres. I can't imagine that either of them would settle for being second, especially not to the other.
