Birth announcement

I am pleased to announce that yesterday evening, a thesis was officially born (in triplicate actually), and that in addition, soon after 10 o'clock this morning, Tristino was officially presented as a part of the world. He's a strong 70 page, 25,000+ word beauty, and it is hoped and expected that his presence will make an impact in the academic community, as well as on the future goals and ambitions of his mother.

His birth was greeted by roses, provided by his Danish step-father, along with champagne. Tristino himself did not partake of the champagne (too young, too papery to handle it), but he did pose with the roses. Mother, step-father, and thesis are all doing well.

Oh fantastic!
Long live Tristino and all the best luck for him in this cruel world ;)
What a great gift from the step-father, he's not jealous of the new arrival, I see...

Congrats!! You're a star! The sight of these fantastic roses motivates me to speed up a bit! And you're not going to touch your computer--or at least the Tristino-file--tomorrow, promised? :-)

Vanessa, thank you! I am not so much relieved, but I am glad that I can now move on to other things I'd like to write (like, for example, blog posts, but also some more academic stuff).

Ms. Mood, the step-father was not jealous, because he knows there was no father (or maybe I was also the father, like an academic hermaphrodite). And the roses were (and are) amazing.

Marion, you can do it. And I have looked a bit at Tristino, his paper version, but just to know that he's there, I won't do actual work on him for a few days at the least. And when are you planned to finish?

Chloe, thanks! Let's hope he grows into a PhD dissertation which will grow into many books.

Roro, yes, I think he has my eyes. And perhaps my mind as well.

HB, tak! Det er faktisk rigtig dejligt når man er færdig med sådan en stor projekt.

Jonathan, thanks!

The imaculate conception of Tristino - there's a story you'll have to tell your grandchildren!

Yeah, maybe I could use it to start my own religion...but no one would believe that, would they?
;-)

Ah, look...he's blushing! ;-) And his final draft is even prettier (not to mention much more coherent).
